Free Stuff

I sign up for all of the free options available to baby loss moms.  I’m in the process of compiling a list.  Here are the ones I have so far:

Calvin’s Hats- they provide baby hats according to the gestational size at time of loss.  You can request this all the up to 40 years or more after your loss.  They are very quick with shipping (only about a week)

Jeremiah’s Memory Butterflies- These are laminated Butterfly magnets with your babies names on them

Molly Bears- A bear made the same weight as your baby.  The waiting list is HUGE for these.  I would suggest signing up here first.

Gianna’s Light- Black ribbons with pink crystal hearts for girls and clear for boys.  She will send you quite a bit of them free.  I had 10 mailed to me free of charge.  They make great accents to a purse, scarf, hat, jacket, etc.   Anything you could put a pin on.  I added them to a homemade wallet pouch and I love how they look.

Names in the sand- CarlyMarie will write your babies names in the sand for free.  If you want to keep the image to save on your computer, you will have to make a $20 donation.  But she will make it free right away and as long as you write down all of the information, you can go back later on to purchase your image.  Requests open and close often… please follow her news page to watch for an opening.

Angel Wings Memorial Boutique- She makes angel wings out of feathers.  She will mail them to you for free.  She puts a tag on them with your babies names.  If you are getting them done for a double loss… make sure to let her know you’d like the tags identical.

Angels for Hope- request a free crocheted angel, butterfly or smiley face, or have one mailed to a friend.

Butterfly Footprints- Have a butterfly image made using your babies footprints.  (I haven’t received mine yet, but I will post them when I get them)

Written in the Stars- inspired by Carly Marie, this momma writes your babies names in the stars, for free.

In our hearts pendants- I’m not sure if she’s currently accepting requests but I will let you know when I hear back.  She makes pendants out of wood or glass with your babies photos on them.  If you don’t want to use a photo she will put their name or anything else you want.

Heaven’s Seashells- Requests are CLOSED, however maybe the will open in the future?  She writes names on seashells.

Stitches of Love- free stitches with your child’s name.  NEW! and requests are open!

For your tears- free handkercheif for your tears

Sufficient grace ministries- there are various items here free for bereaved parents.  There are bears, memory books and baby gowns and baskets.

5.1.5 Designs- bracelets free to angel moms

Names on the sidewalk- Free to have made, but $5 to remove the watermark

Vermont Angels- babies name written on rocks and photographed in nature (requests currently closed due to weather but will re-open)

Parade of butterflies- your babies names written on a butterfly

Getting these gifts in the mail will bring a smile to your face for even a moment.  Not only that, but when you find places to put things you will find yourself wrapped in love wherever you go, knowing other baby loss moms are out there spreading peace.   When you look around your house you will see your babies CAN be included in your life.   I would love to see posts of things you receive from any of these places.  If you have an idea of your own, let me know and I can add yours to the list.

Rachel Jacobs Campana, TTTS mom with one survivor, received all of these items: It looks like she got a few things different than what I did.  She got a butterfly instead of an angel from Angels For Hope, she also got the Handkerchief for your teas, stitches of love and a bracelet from 5.1.5 designs!  (I think my emails actually didn’t go through for those… so I don’t think they would disappoint you… i think it was something I did on my end on why I didn’t get those)

and she got this hat:

Cristy Rios, also a TTTS mom with one survivor… Received this hat:
